As Memorial Day weekend arrives, State Representative Jack Jordan (R-Bremen) is calling on Hoosiers to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to the nation.
"This weekend we honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation," Jordan said. "We reflect on the cost of freedom and remember what it means to protect and serve."
Jordan is encouraging all residents to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance on Memorial Day — a moment of silence observed at 3:00 p.m. local time — to pause and pay tribute to those who gave everything for the freedoms Americans enjoy today.
The representative also wished the community a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. "Have a safe, fun and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend celebrating with friends, family and neighbors," Jordan said. "Reflect on the meaning of the long weekend and enjoy barbeques, quality time and the Indianapolis 500!"
