Plymouth Police were dispatched to the report of an attempted residential entry on Wednesday morning, August 21st on the city’s northwest side.
City officers responded to 1104 North Walnut Street just after 11 when the victim called 9-1-1 and reported the incident. She told police that 45-year-old Jason Hannah of Greencastle, IN walked up to her door and opened it attempting to enter the residence. The victim was able to push him back and call the police.
Hannah was later apprehended at a different location and transported to the Marshal County Jail where he was booked in for residential entry and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
