The Culver Young Farmers, Marshall County Farm Bureau, and Starke County Coop are sponsoring a first responders training on July 30 in LaPaz.
This training is for grain bin rescues, and all first responders are encouraged to attend. The training will take place at the La Paz North Township Fire Department, located at 411 South Michigan Street in La Paz. Refreshments will be available at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 6 p.m.
Grain bin rescue training equips first responders with the skills and knowledge necessary to handle potential grain entrapments. The training helps reduce tragedies related to grain bin accidents, which can be fatal due to suffocation or engulfment.
Participants should register by Wednesday through the Marshall County Purdue Extension at 574-935-8545 or by emailing Brieanna@Purdue.edu.
