The Fulton County Animal Center is asking who has styrofoam coolers.
The center is currently in need of styrofoam coolers, to begin making outdoor cat shelters. If you have been getting food or medicine delivered in big styrofoam coolers or just have some old ones on hand and aren’t sure what to do with them they would love to repurpose them.
The styrofoam coolers need to be a minimum of approximately 18” x 22”. When determining if the size is right to donate, please take off the lid and determine if the cooler could be filled with some straw and comfortably fit an adult cat or two inside?!
No measuring tape? If your adult feet (one foot in front of the other, in one direction) cannot fit inside, it may likely be too small for a cat shelter. If it’s close and you aren’t sure, bring it by for us to determine!
People with coolers are asked to stop by and drop them off in either of our buildings front lobby.
