The National Weather Service (NWS) has discontinued the flood warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville.
It was lifted just before midnight CT Thursday, May 7th after the river crested at its flood level of 30 feet and began to fall.
The river was measured early Friday, May 8th at 29.9 feet and continuing to steadily fall.
There is additional rain forecast for the weekend, but forecasters say that it should not be enough to adversely affect the river levels.
