Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the area of Michigan Road and Veterans Parkway on Saturday, October 4th, at approximately 5:20 p.m. for a report of a reckless driver.
A concerned caller reported that a maroon-colored Pontiac Grand Am was traveling south on Michigan Road and had almost collided head-on with three different vehicles, weaving all over the roadway.
Officer Fisher located the suspect vehicle as it passed him at Michigan and Hoham. He observed the vehicle as it drove in the middle of the fast lane and the slow lane and did not use a turn signal.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the vehicle pulled into the Sunoco gas station. While talking to the driver, the officer’s report stated that the driver wasn't making much sense, and his pupils were pinpoint.
52-year-old Carson Rowe of Elkhart admitted to smoking marijuana and meth. He was arrested for OWI with a controlled substance and OWI Endangerment and was transported to Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
