Boundless Recreation announced today a boutique, customer-centric recreational vehicle (RV) manufacturer, has launched operations in Bristol, with plans to create up to 115 new, high-wage jobs by the end of 2028.
Boundless Recreation was founded in 2025 by a team of seasoned RV professionals, strengthening the skilled industry in the South Bend-Elkhart region that produces approximately 80-88% of all RVs manufactured in the United States and Canada. The company is investing $2 million to start and scale its operations at a 104,000-square-foot facility at 705 Maple St. in Bristol, outfitting the space with advanced manufacturing equipment to meet its needs. Boundless Recreation, which launched initial production in October, will offer fifth wheels and soon to be travel trailers with a focus on quality craftsmanship, designing products that are easier to service, easier to maintain and built to provide years of dependable ownership.
The company has already hired 45 employees and will continue to hire for various positions throughout the company. New positions are expected to offer average salaries 125% of the Elkhart County average.
“We founded Boundless Recreation because we believe the RV industry needs a different approach, one that puts quality components, thoughtful craftsmanship and accountability to the customer at the center of every decision,” said Nate Nickell, founder and president of Boundless Recreation. “Our philosophy shapes everything from how we build our RVs to how we support owners long after the sale. We’re proud to bring that vision to life in Indiana and grateful to Governor Braun and the state’s support as we grow our team in Bristol.”
Boundless Recreation joins a growing network of small businesses in Indiana that account for 99.4% of all Indiana businesses and employ 1.2 million Hoosiers. The state is committed to being a top destination for starting and growing a business, ranking in the top 5 nationally for small business survival and 12th in the U.S. for rate of new entrepreneurs.
“Indiana is advancing its reputation as a top global destination for entrepreneurship and innovation thanks to the commitment of companies like Boundless Recreation,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Chuck Goodrich. “Our state’s entrepreneurial and small business ecosystem is driving the state forward, adding vibrancy and character to Main Streets and communities statewide while creating new, high-wage career opportunities for Hoosiers.”
