Thursday, detectives from the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division at the Peru Post initiated an investigation at the request of the Miami County Sherriff’s Office into the death of inmate David M. Douglass, 36 years of age.
Investigators are being assisted by the Miami County Coroner’s Office and Miami County Sherriff’s Office. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death.
