A Delphi woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after Marshall County deputies located her vehicle following a report of an impaired driver who had struck a mailbox along State Road 8.
At approximately 12:44 a.m. on July 22, Marshall County officers began investigating the area of State Road 8 for a reported impaired driver. Officers located a vehicle matching the description at the corner of State Road 8 and State Road 17. The driver, identified as Nicole Kellems, 31, of Delphi, was found in a state of undress and showing signs of alcohol impairment. The vehicle had visible recent damage consistent with the reported incident.
Kellems was transported for a certified chemical test, which revealed a blood-alcohol concentration of .282 — more than three and a half times the legal limit of .08.
She was booked into the Marshall County Jail on charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person (misdemeanor), Resisting Law Enforcement (misdemeanor), and Obstruction of Justice (Level 6 Felony).

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
