County police arrested a Chicago man on April 5 after a 911 call about a single-vehicle accident and an attempt to flee while driving the wrong way on Michigan Road.
On Saturday, at approximately 4:30 a.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding a vehicle in the ditch at Michigan Road and 3A Road.
Marshall County Deputies responded to the scene and suspected the driver of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
During the investigation, it was found that 41-year-old Jose R Saucedo Robles had struck a street sign and attempted to leave the scene. While trying to flee, he went northbound in the southbound lane of Michigan Road, where he lost control of the vehicle and came to rest in the ditch.
A certified chemical test was administered to Saucedo-Robles, showing a BAC of .247. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond for operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, and operating with a BAC of .15% or more.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
