Last month the Marshall County Council decided to move their meetings from Thursday evening to the third Monday of each month at 4:30 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.
The agenda for tomorrow’s meeting includes requests to apply for grants. The Sheriff wants to apply for the Lake Enforcement DNR Grant, the Health Department wants to apply for the PHEP (Public Health Emergency Preparedness) Grant, and Emergency Management is seeking approval to apply for the BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) Grant.
Also on the County Council’s agenda is the quarterly report from the Marshall County Museum, last year’s July – December Commissary Report, the 2025 Commissary Budget, along with an update from Marshall County Economic Development Corporation by Greg Hildebrand.
The Council will hear subcommittee reports from the Highway, Budget and Finance, and Job Classifications and Compensation. The agenda also includes additional appropriations and transfers, the establishment of a new fund for Court Reform, approval of the Lebbin Law and Center Dalton invoices, a resolution for the purchase of specified real property, and opportunities for public comments.
The Council meeting is open to the public and streamed on the County’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/@MarshallCountyIN
