The Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals will continue its special meeting on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church on South Michigan Road.
The only agenda item is the continuation of the request of Tamarack Solar Energy LLC for a Special Use to allow a 150 mega-watt Farm Scale Solar Energy System that has 1,435 acres within perimeter fencing in portions of West and Union Townships.
The BZA opened this meeting on November 7th at Plymouth High School and it lasted 4 hours. That meeting was continued to December 3rd and moved to Plymouth Wesleyan Church where again the meeting was nearly 4 hours long with no conclusion, so the County BZA continued it to tonight at 6 P.M. at Plymouth Wesleyan Church.
The two previous meetings are available on the county’s YouTube channel.
The BZA will then conduct their regular meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the County Building. The agenda includes a variance of development standard at 19298 2C Road in Walkerton for Robert & Pam Whisman. Eddie Borkholder is requesting a home-based business at 1511 3rd Road in Bremen and Michael Hochestetler is asking for a Special Use to allow an increase of dogs to an approved kennel at 2484 2B Road in Bremen.
Also on Tuesday night’s meeting is a variance of development standard to allow a reduction in residential setback from the required 1,320 feet setback to 493 feet for a confined animal feeding operation at 3560 Grape Road in Bremen and a variance of development standard to allow an 81’ by 4 x 470’ chicken layer barn on Quince Road in Culver.
This meeting is open to the public, will be held in the second-floor meeting room, and streamed live on the county’s YouTube page.
