Friday, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) concluded his Indiana Innovation Tour that included stops across the second district.
“The best and most important part of my job is meeting with hardworking Hoosiers across the second district,” Rep. Yakym said. “It was great to be on the road this week listening to small businesses, innovators, and manufacturers. Their insights help me fight for policies that support growth, create opportunity, and ensure every Hoosier can thrive.”
At each stop, the congressman talked with Hoosiers about a wide range of issues important to them, including regulations, taxes, jobs, the economy, a secure southern border, government efficiency, and more.
A brief recap of Representative Yakym’s Indiana Innovation Tour included a stop in Bremen where he toured and met with employees at Southwire. Southwire is the largest employer in Marshall County and continues to grow and invest in Bremen. Yakym also toured and met with employees at PWI in Nappanee. PWI highlighted its cutting-edge lift technologies.
In Warsaw, the congressman toured and met with employees at Instrumental Machine and Development who specialize in production processes for the orthopedic industry.
While touring in Mishawaka Rep. Yakym met with employees at Hose Assemblies who have been a critical supplier to the appliance industry for over 40 years. He also took time to stop by the Jackie Walorski VA Clinic and in Elkhart he spoke with members of the Elkhart Rotary Club.

During the week Congressman Yakym stopped in North Judson and spoke with and, took questions from the students at North Judson San Pierre Jr./Sr. High School. He also visited Outstanding Trade Show Services with Starke County officials and discussed their innovative idea to transform the space into a CTE hub for future generations.
In LaPorte, the congressman toured and met with employees at Boss Industries who are making high-quality compressors sold around the country. The Wabash stop was at Wabash Casting, and he toured the facility and met with employees who are producing premium aluminum sand casting parts.
Other stops on Congressman Yakym’s 2nd District Tour include meeting with Steinberger Construction in Logansport, He toured the facility and had lunch with Cass County officials to discuss maintaining Indiana as the manufacturing capital of the world. Yakym also stopped by Radel Wood Products in Peru. Radel Wood Products has been a reliable manufacturer and supplier for over 25 years. The employees at Topp Industries in Rochester also had the opportunity to meet with the congressman. Topp Industries has grown its business from a two-car garage into three facilities that employ 140 Hoosiers.
