The contractors for the US 231 construction project are continuing to work in the area of Locust & Washington Street today, July 19, to finish tie-offs. The areas affected are from the intersection, south to Anderson St. Door tags were hung on residents' homes and businesses that will be affected. We do not have information on how long it will take, but contractors are working hard to get it done as soon as possible.
On Monday, the contractors will be working in the area of College & Washington St. to finish the tie-offs. Door tags will be hung today, giving more than a 48 hour notice, to let affected residents and businesses know if their water will be turned off for the process.
