At about 8:20 Sunday morning Plymouth Police were dispatched to a 911 call of a possible stabbing on Angel Street.
City police arrived at 1030 Angel Street and found that the suspect had left the area.
After an investigation it was found that the stabbing was to stop an attack that was taking place at the residence. The suspect, Chad O’Kelley-Hooker of the Angel Street address was found at the Plymouth Hospital receiving medical treatment.
Once medical treatment was rendered at the hospital, O’Kelley-Hooker was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail. He was booked in for domestic battery, interference in reporting a crime and strangulation. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
