A crash of a bus and another vehicle is being investigated by Parke County authorities.
The Parke County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on US 41 south of SR 47 involving a 2002 Jeep Cherokee and a Turkey Run canoe rental bus. The investigation revealed that the Jeep Cherokee was traveling southbound on US 41 and, for unknown reasons, traveled left of center into the northbound lane, hitting the bus head-on.
The driver of the Jeep, Michael Thomas of Crawfordsville, and a juvenile in the vehicle were both injured and transported to Union Hospital in Terre Haute. The bus driver and the occupants refused medical treatment at the scene.
Indiana State Police, Indiana Conservation officers, Parke County EMS, Bloomingdale and Marshall first responders assisted at the scene.
