Early Saturday morning, September 21st, Officer Mark with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at U.S. 30 and Michigan Street after observing several traffic infractions.
During the officer's investigation, it was determined Ethan Verhaeghe, 20, of Elm Road in Bremen, possessed alcoholic beverages and was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Verhaeghe was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in at 2:24 a.m. Saturday for minor possessing alcohol and operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction.
Ethan Verhaeghe was held on a $1,500 cash bond until about 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
