Plymouth Police were notified Tuesday that a male subject with active felony warrants was living at the Economy Inn.
An officer with the Plymouth Police Department responded to the Economy Inn on North Michigan Street in an attempt to locate the male, 34-year-old Joseph Azzam. While in the area, the vehicle that was believed to be Azzam's pulled away from the Economy Inn. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and ordered the driver out.
The driver was positively identified and was taken into custody for the active arrest warrants for domestic battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and battery by bodily waste to a public safety officer. All are Level 6 felonies.
Azzam was transported to the Marshall County Jail and is awaiting pickup by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
