The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced direct grant funding in each of Indiana’s 92 counties in fiscal year 2026.
Ten grants were recently awarded through the Every County Funded grant program, which alongside the agency’s other grant programs, ensured that the IAC provided direct support of art and creativity in each of Indiana’s counties for the third consecutive year.
“The arts enrich our communities, strengthen quality of life, and help tell the story of who we are as Hoosiers,” said Governor Mike Braun. “By supporting arts programs in all 92 counties, the Indiana Arts Commission is making our state an even better place to call home.”
The Every County Funded program increases access to arts and creativity for all Hoosiers by targeting counties that currently have little to no IAC-funded arts programming. The IAC identifies community-based partners and provides ongoing mentorship in grant writing, project planning, and production of arts activities in their counties.
The Fiscal Year 2026 Every County Funded recipients include the Ritz Theater in Parke County. Grant funds will support the Parke Players’ summer musical at the Historic Ritz Theater, covering set construction, costumes, technical equipment, marketing, and facility operations, while keeping ticket prices accessible to all.
“Artists and arts programming are vital to the strength of our Main Street economies,” said Miah Michaelsen, IAC Executive Director. “The Indiana Arts Commission strives to improve quality of life in each corner of the Hoosier state, and we are incredibly proud to directly support arts and creativity in each of Indiana’s 92 counties for the third year in a row.”
