The Fulton County Community Foundation’s summer scholarship application is open.
The application is available at www.nicf.org/fulton-county/scholarships and must be submitted by Thursday, July 2.
Several scholarships with varying criteria are available to Fulton County residents pursuing higher education:
- The Baxter Family Pharmaceutical Scholarship provides educational scholarships for students who are attending an institution of higher learning with particular attention being given to graduates of Caston High School, Rochester High School, Tippecanoe High School, or a resident of Fulton County and who are accepted into a pharmaceutical program in the State of Indiana.
- The Charles Denton Rochester High School Scholarship provides educational scholarships for graduating seniors of Rochester High School, seeking a degree in education, educational administration, or a degree in counseling or psychology in order to serve as a school counselor in pre-K through grade 12.
- The Colleen May Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships for Caston High School graduates pursuing a degree in the field of elementary education.
- The Cowen Kumler Scholarship provides support for educational scholarships for graduating seniors of Rochester High School pursuing a degree or certification in welding or a similar trade occupation at an accredited vocational/trade school or a two- or four-year college or university.
- The Dale Eizinger and Robert Tobey Agricultural Scholarship provides scholarships for Rochester High School graduates pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture.
- The Elmer Harris and Beulah P. Harris Scholarship provides scholarships to students residing in Union Township, Fulton County, Indiana, at the time of their graduation.
- The Frederick Rakestraw Law Scholarship provides scholarships for qualified college graduates pursuing a degree in law. Applicants must have been residents of Fulton County for at least three years during high school and must be accepted into a graduate school program and enrolled in any school of law in the United States.
- The Ginger Miller Higher Education Scholarship provides scholarships for qualified college graduates pursuing graduate or professional school degrees.
- The Phillips-Braman Scholarship provides scholarships for Rochester High School graduates who have completed one year of coursework at Purdue University. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.
- The Union Township Scholarship provides educational scholarships to Union Township residents who have resided there for a minimum of 2 years.
- The Back Home Again in Indiana Scholarship supports non-traditional students who wish to pursue higher education and/or training to enhance their skills for employment. Non-traditional students include those who have graduated from high school or obtained a GED and have delayed entrance into college, rather than earning a degree immediately after high school.
