Roger Lee Niccum, 65, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born December 27th, 1960, in Anderson, Indiana, to Kenneth and Wanda (James) Niccum. He was employed as a communication technician for a number of years before retiring.
Roger enjoyed playing pool and watching NASCAR races. He was an avid animal lover and especially loved his dog. Roger’s motorcycle was his pride and joy, and he loved spending time riding. When not riding his motorcycle or playing pool, he enjoyed drumming and listening to music.
He is survived by his son, Roger Niccum; daughters, Danielle Niccum and Heather Haight; life partner, Rocky Lewis; brother, Mike (Marla) Niccum; sister, Debbie Roberts; ex-wife, Sonja Jones; grandchildren, Destiny Niccum, Kenneth Niccum, Neveah Niccum, Tymariaun Davis, Myah Hinson, and Jalisa Morgan. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Yolonda Wills for being an excellent caregiver toward the end of Roger’s life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wanda.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 8th, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow beginning at 7 p.m., with Rev. Greg Albert officiating.
