Jesseca J. Freant, 49, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
She was born on March 7, 1977 in Plymouth, Indiana, the daughter of Jacob Schlosser and Julee (Samuels) Alderfer. Jesseca was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 9 and struggled with health issues all her life.
Jesseca had worked at Casey’s General Store, the Culver Academies, and recently for Wilson Fine Feeds. She had been a member of the First United Church of Christ, Plymouth, Indiana. She enjoyed crafts, decorating, especially for the seasons, butterflies, her beloved cats, watching the game show “Deal or No Deal” and time spent with her daughters.
Survivors include her daughters, Kylee (Thatcher Sampsel) Freant, Rochester, Indiana, Baylee Freant, Rochester, Indiana, parents, Julee (Stephen Van Vactor) Alderfer, Rochester, Indiana, Jacob (Kandi Davis) Schlosser, Bourbon, Indiana, siblings, Jordan (Dave) Perdue, Rochester, Indiana, Jay (Jennifer Oliver) Schlosser, Rochester, Indiana, former mother-in-law, Gaile Davis, Leiters Ford, Indiana, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and her feline companions, Wittles, Mr. Boy, Luna. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jocelyn Hilary Schlosser, grandparents, James and Pat Kruyer Sr., James and Lucy Schlosser, great grandmother, Dorothy Schuster, and her dear felines, Si and Punky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center.
