Breathe Easy Marshall County Alliance is excited to announce that Winter Snow has won the “You and Me Vape Free” T-Shirt Design Contest.
This program aims to educate fourth grade students about the dangers of smoking and vaping. Jalysa Gibson, the Youth Tobacco Coordinator for Marshall County, conducts two 30-minute sessions where she explains the risks of secondhand smoke, environmental hazards, and health impacts associated with smoking and vaping.
Winter Snow, a fourth grader at Triton Elementary, created a design that emphasizes staying healthy and not vaping. The design, featuring children playing, perfectly captures the theme of "You and Me Vape Free."
This winning design has been printed on T-shirts for every fourth-grade student at Triton Elementary.
The Marshall County Health Department, with funding from Health First Indiana, provides T-shirts for all fourth-grade students. This program has been implemented in all but one elementary school in Marshall County so far.
