The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety and the Common Council will conduct their meetings tonight at 6 and 6:30 in the second-floor Council Chambers of City Hall.
The Board of Public Works and Safety will hear from various department heads and Fire Chief Steve Holm will have new member John Kauffman sworn into service. The Clerk-Treasurer will give a reminder of the Annual Downtown Tractor Show and the date change of the Summer Kick-off Downtown Block Party for this Thursday June 27th from 5 to 8 p.m. Under requests the Board of Public Works will hear the request of Jessica Simpkins for an open burn. Members will also approve claims and accept the communications.
The Plymouth Common Council will conduct a public hearing for additional appropriations and consider an ordinance to annex approximately 8 acres of real estate located immediately adjacent to the corporate boundary behind Webster School. There is also a resolution for the fiscal plan for providing municipal services of capital and non-capital nature in support of the annexation.
Under New Business the Plymouth City Council will be updated on the new national opioid settlement notice for Kroger Company and they will be asked to accept donations for this year’s Mayor’s Summer of Music.
The city council will also get an update on ONE Marshall County and the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
Both meetings are open to the public and those attending should enter through the Garro Street door and move to the second floor. The meeting is also streamed live using Teams.
