Vincennes police say two men are in custody in connection with shots fired early Monday in Vincennes.
Gunshots were reported around 2 a.m. ET in the Daleview Drive area. Officers responded to the scene and found spent shell casings in the road and a vehicle parked nearby with multiple bullet holes. Two male suspects were spotted fleeing from the area.
Police later stopped 19-year-old Emery Holt and 18-year-old Briar Thacker a short distance from the scene. Both appeared intoxicated and were carrying firearms. The duo was taken into custody and were preliminarily charged with Criminal Recklessness, Criminal Mischief, Public Intoxication and Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol. They were being held in the Knox County Jail.
