The Parke County Sheriff's Office spent considerable time over the weekend dealing with two motorcycle crashes that resulted in injuries.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the first accident took place on Oct. 3 on U.S. 36 west of Billie Creek Village.
Law enforcement officials said a 2006 Harley Davidson was traveling west on U.S. 36 when it collided with another vehicle.
"For unknown reasons, the driver did not slow in traffic and rear-ended a 2024 Jeep Renegade," the department said in a press release.
Both the motorcycle's driver and passenger were thrown from the vehicle and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Another accident took place on U.S. 41 near Coxville Road.
According to officials, a 2018 Harley-Davidson attempted to make a right turn, traveled left of center and struck a Toyota Sienna.
Police said speed was a factor in the accident.
