The Indiana Debate Commission has extended the deadline for Hoosiers to submit questions for the candidates seeking to become Indiana's next Secretary of State.
Voters now have until 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 1, 2026 to submit questions for the October 7 debate featuring:
- Beau Bayh (Democrat)
- Max Engling (Republican)
- Greg Ballard (Lincoln Party)
- Lauri Shillings (Libertarian)
The Secretary of State serves as Indiana's chief elections officer and oversees election administration, business services, securities regulation, and campaign finance reporting, making this one of Indiana's most important statewide offices.
