Swan Lake Resort will once again be in the national spotlight this month as it hosts the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's Golf Championship, set for Tuesday, May 19th through Friday, May 22nd, 2026. It marks a record eighth time the Plymouth resort has hosted the prestigious event since 2012, and the first of three consecutive years in which Swan Lake is slated to serve as host site.
The championship will feature 24 teams of five student-athletes each, along with 12 individual competitors, representing 36 programs from across the country. In all, approximately 125 competitors will be in Plymouth for the event, with many arriving as early as Sunday, May 17th.
Competition will take place over four rounds, played Tuesday through Friday on Swan Lake's Black Course, with each round beginning at 7:00 a.m.
The NJCAA's Division II is the association's largest division in terms of teams and participating players, making this one of the most significant junior college golf championships in the country.
Adding an extra layer of interest to this year's event, a representative from the PGA of America will be on hand. The PGA recently announced a partnership with the NJCAA aimed at promoting careers in the golf industry — an initiative designed to address a growing shortage of professionals entering the field.
Swan Lake Resort Director of Golf Chad Hutsell credited Northern Indiana's hospitality and the resort's championship atmosphere — including its highly regarded practice facility — as key reasons the NJCAA continues to return to Plymouth year after year.
Swan Lake Resort, one of only two true golf resorts in the state of Indiana, hosts more than 51,000 rounds of golf annually and welcomes over 18,000 unique visitors each year.
Spectators are welcome throughout the tournament. Admission is $45 for a four-round pass or $15 per day for a single-day pass. Payment is cash only — no checks or credit cards will be accepted.
Golf carts may be available for rent at $25 per cart per round. Free parking is available at the tournament site.
