Residents of Greencastle and Putnam County are asked to attend an update on the Growing Green and Gold Together initiative Seminary Square Project next month.
The event will take place on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at the Inn at DePauw and will feature officials from the Growing Green and Gold Together leadership team, city of Greencastle and Buckingham Companies, all of whom will give an update on various parts of the project.
Beginning at 6 p.m., those in attendance will hear a 30 minute presentation that will encompass the project's history and why Buckingham Companies was selected as the developer. In addition, those in attendance will hear conceptual ideas from Buckingham Companies. Following that, there will be an hour long opportunity for attendees to ask questions and learn more of the project.
The project includes: the Seminary Square Project, a two city block mixed use development featuring residential units and commercial space; Downtown Public Space enhancement, which will revitalize areas around the Putnam County Courthouse to facilitate community events and connect with DePauw's campus; a Downtown small business incubator fund, which is a partnership with local organizations to support entrepreneurship and economic growth; and a new pool at the Putnam County YMCA.
