Earlier this month, the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission received a request from the Chamber of Commerce to repaint the interior of the building.
During the meeting, City Attorney Jeff Houin reminded commission members that they own the building, and the Chamber of Commerce is the tenant at 120 North Michigan Street. He said the tenant must obtain permission from the landlord to make any alterations.
Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Matt Hovermale attended the meeting and said they’ve been making a lot of changes at the chamber, trying to modernize the office. New furniture has been added, and they have updated the conference room at the back of the office. Hovermale said the board of directors wanted to give a fresh look to the office with a new interior paint color and make it a little brighter inside.
Redevelopment Commission members unanimously approved the Chamber of Commerce's request to paint the interior of the building.
