PCCF announces Fall Grant awards

These grants were recommended by the Grants Committee, comprised of 8 members, who reside throughout the county.

Putnam County Community Foundation (PCCF) has announced its most recent grant recipients from the Community Foundation’s largest unrestricted fund, the Community Grants Endowment, as well as from its 45 named unrestricted funds, created by generous organizations and community members.

PCCF recently awarded over $75,000 in Community Grants to four community partners serving Putnam County. Awards will fund the following:

Beyond Homeless, Inc. – Support for homelessness prevention program

Friends of Lieber State Recreation Area – Install a StoryWalk® at the Nature Center Trail

Heritage Preservation Society of Putnam County – Restoration of the Freight Depot as the first People Pathways enclosed trailhead

Van Bibber Lake Conservancy District – Supplies for new marshal program

These grants were recommended by the Grants Committee, comprised of 8 members, who reside throughout the county. An additional $2,500 was awarded by PCCF’s Board of Directors in Way to Go Grants. These are grants awarded to outstanding Putnam County organizations selected by one or more Board members to recognize the organizations’ contributions to our community.

Family Support Services of West Central Indiana

Fillmore Volunteer Fire Department

Friends of the Putnam County Public Library

North Putnam Alumni Association Dollars for Scholars, Inc.

Putnam County 4-H Dog Club

Putnam County Center for Women’s Ministry

Roachdale Friends of the Library, Inc.

Transformers of Putnam County – Gobin United Methodist Church

Tzouanakis Intermediate School Music Department

“Grant making is at the heart of what we do,” said Neysa Meyer, PCCF Executive Director. “It’s especially exciting to see new and innovative requests from community organizations and to have an opportunity for our Board to award small grants to programs which might otherwise go unrecognized. We’re grateful for the amazing work our grantees are doing to support Putnam County residents.”

PCCF’s next competitive grants cycle will take place early in 2025 with the introduction of the new Community Impact Grants program. Details including the full program guidelines and timeline are available at pcfoundation.org/grants.
