Governor Mike Braun joined leaders at the Indiana State Museum to unveil Indiana’s official exhibit for the Great American State Fair, a signature event for America 250 that will take place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. from June 25 – July 10.
The exhibit, led by the Indiana State Fair and in partnership with multiple state agencies, will invite visitors from across the country to experience the Hoosier State through an interactive miniature golf experience that celebrates Indiana's history, innovation and culture.
“Since 1816, Indiana has played a pivotal role in the fabric of our nation,” said Gov. Braun. “I am proud of our state’s contributions to our great nation and excited for Americans to get a feel for who we are as Hoosiers as we celebrate 250 years of American excellence.”
The Indiana exhibit will feature an Indiana-themed miniature golf course, with each hole showcasing a unique aspect of the state's identity. Visitors will journey through Indiana's agricultural heritage, natural resources, tourism destinations, world-class sports industry, and beloved traditions, including the Indiana State Fair.
Designed to be both educational and interactive, the exhibit will tell the story of Indiana's contributions to the nation over the past 250 years while showcasing the opportunities and innovation that continue to shape its future.
Indiana's exhibit is made possible through the support of key partners, including the Indiana 250th Commission, Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the Indiana Sports Corp.
"We are grateful for the partnership and support of our partners," said Ray Allison, Executive Director of the Indiana State Fair. "Their commitment to elevating Indiana's showcase at the national level helps make this experience possible and reflects the collaborative spirit of Indiana.”
