A 20-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested Monday morning after an off-duty Marshall County Sheriff's deputy observed him driving aggressively and endangering other motorists.
Brent A. Ross of Olive Lane was taken into custody at approximately 11:40 a.m. on February 10 following a traffic stop initiated by the off-duty deputy.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, the deputy observed a vehicle being operated recklessly and aggressively in a manner that endangered the lives of other motorists on the roadway.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop and placed Ross into custody at the scene. Ross faces two criminal charges: aggressive driving and reckless driving. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail and held on a $500 cash bond.
Under Indiana law, aggressive driving can include behaviors such as excessive speeding, unsafe lane changes, tailgating, and other dangerous driving patterns that put other motorists at risk. Reckless driving is defined as operating a vehicle with willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property
