A 48-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after deputies were called to a local neighborhood multiple times for reports of an intoxicated individual causing a disturbance.
According to a release from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, the Central Dispatch Center received a call at 4:01 p.m. on April 11 regarding a male subject yelling at his neighbors in the 15,000 block of Menominee Drive.
The suspect was identified by authorities as Christopher Miller. Deputy Ryan Hollopeter noted in the report that patrol units had already been dispatched to the residence earlier that same afternoon for the exact same complaint.
Following the repeated disturbance, Miller was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked on preliminary charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct, both of which are Class B misdemeanors. His bond was set at $250.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed. All suspects are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
