Congratulations to the Christy Fire Protection District in Lawrence County.
It has been announced that they, along with the Claremont-Bonpas Fire Protection District in neighboring Richland County, are the recipients of four gas-monitors for their future use.
The monitors were awarded as part of the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System-Illinois (MABAS) and the Illinois State Fire Marshalls Office (ILSFM) gas-monitor program recently.
MABAS-Illinois is an organization based out of Wheeling, Illinois which assists and provides emergency agencies with mutual aid assistance through such things as equipment upgrades and response planning. It also works in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Public Health-EMA Division and the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association.
