Marshall County deputies were called to a motorcycle accident on Saturday.
About 10 p.m., a motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Michael E. Martin, was traveling northwest on S.R. 106 heading towards the U.S. 6 intersection. When traveling through the curve of the roadway where S.R. 106 curves to the north, Martin failed to negotiate the curve.
He then collided with the guardrail face and appeared to continue down the guardrail face for a substantial duration. Martin was ejected from the vehicle over the guardrail, and the vehicle continued through the intersection of U.S. 6, ultimately crashing on the north side.
Martin was transported to Memorial Hospital for injuries to his leg and foot and further evaluation.
Agencies involved included the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, Bremen EMS, and the fire department.
