A 26-year-old Bunker Hill man was arrested earlier this week on multiple felony charges following a cyber-tip investigation.
Indiana Police reported that on Tuesday, March 18, police arrested Keith Hall, 26, of Bunker Hill, on multiple felony charges of failing to register as a sex offender.
The investigation had been launched five months ago after multiple tips were received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The suspect was soon discovered and a search warrant was eventually executed at a residence located near the 200 block of Broadway Street in Bunker Hill. Multiple electronic devices were reported to have been seized during the search of the home.
Eventually, detectives on the case determined the suspect to have had knowingly failed to update sex offender registration information with the Miami County Sheriff's Office, a state law requirement for sex offenders.
Hall was transported to the Miami County Jail with six counts of failure to register as a sex offender, all Level 5 felonies.
ISP reported this case still remains under investigation and detectives are continuing to examine the electronic devices that were seized in the home.
The case has involved detectives from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, troopers with the Indiana State Police Peru Post, Kokomo Police Department, and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations.
