County police arrested two people from Claypool on Thursday evening after a firearm, suspected methamphetamine, and synthetic urine were located in the vehicle.
On July 18, at approximately 7:30 PM a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 31 and Tyler Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 41-year-old Christopher Joo and the front-seat passenger was identified as 39-year-old Elisha Kline both of Claypool.
During the traffic stop a firearm, suspected methamphetamine, and synthetic urine were found in the vehicle.
Both individuals were transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Christopher Joo was booked for possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams when an enhancing circumstance applies as a level 5 felony and possession of synthetic urine with the intent to defraud a drug/urine test as a class B misdemeanor. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Elisha Kline was booked for possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams when an enhancing circumstance applies as a level 5 felony. She was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Indiana State Police.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
