A Chicago man was arrested Monday early morning after an officer with the Plymouth Police Department after he was found to be speeding on U.S. 30.
Just after midnight, Officer Fisher stopped a vehicle for driving at 67 mph in a 50-mph zone on U.S. 30 east of Pioneer Drive. The vehicle was pulled over on U.S. 30 west of Oak Drive for the traffic stop. The driver was identified as Jose Curiel-Dorante, 27, of Chicago.
It was determined that Curiel-Dorante had never obtained a driver's license. He was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked in at 12:48 a.m. for operator never licensed and issued a citation for speeding and false and fictitious plates.
His cash bond was paid at 1:27 a.m., and he was released on bond with a court date.
