Fulton County Republican Party Chairman Amy Roe reports that current Liberty Township Trustee James Sutton is resigning, effective July 1, and candidates are sought for his replacement.
Eligible applicants must be residents of Liberty Township and Republicans in good standing. Since fewer than two persons would be eligible to participate in a precinct committeemen caucus, the vacancy is to be filled by Roe.
Declarations of candidacy are available in the clerk's office at the Fulton County Courthouse, 815 Main St. They must be notarized and filed with Roe no later than 72 hours before the appointment.
To learn more or express an interest in filling the vacancy, contact Roe by calling 864-420-2305.
