Friday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m., Plymouth police officers were made aware of a possible impaired driver traveling eastbound on Hoham Drive.
Officer Allen located the vehicle traveling southbound on Western Avenue and observed it driving into the right shoulder and across the center lane multiple times, failing to maintain its lane.
Officer Allen conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Western Avenue and North Street. The driver of the vehicle, 51-year-old Eric Reid of East Plum Street in Argos, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Reid was found to be operating with a blood alcohol content of .360, more than four times the legal limit. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged.
Reid is charged with operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction and operating with a BAC of .15% or greater.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
