The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four Winds® Casinos are pleased to announce a Bad Beat Jackpot worth $389,614.35 was awarded to a group of guests playing No Limit Hold’em on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the Poker Room at Four Winds South Bend!
The jackpot was distributed among eight players, with the largest portion going to a lucky guest from Indianapolis who received $194,807.18 (50 percent of the total) for the bad beat with quad fours.
Ronald V. from Francesville, Ind. had the winning hand with quad sixes and received the second-largest payout of $97,403.59 (25 percent of the total).
The remaining six players from towns in Indiana including Elkhart, Knox, New Carlisle, Osseo, and South Bend split the remaining 25 percent, each receiving $16,233.93.
A Bad Beat Jackpot is paid when a sufficiently strong hand is played, but loses to an even stronger hand held by another player. Players with the two strongest hands receive the majority of the jackpot with the rest of the table receiving a portion.
