Three young adults from the area were arrested early Saturday morning after a Plymouth Police Department officer discovered them asleep in a parked vehicle at River Park Square — and found marijuana and related products inside the car.
Officer Allen checked on the vehicle at approximately 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 16th, after observing it parked at the park beyond its hours of operation. Inside, he found three individuals asleep — Madisyn Brody, 21, of Warsaw; Andrew Quinn, 20, of Plymouth; and Caitlyn Smith, 19, of Knox.
After waking the occupants and conducting an investigation, officers discovered marijuana, sativa, and THC vape products inside the vehicle.
All three individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where they were each booked on charges of possession of marijuana.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and are entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
