Both Lawrence County girls high school track teams were in the field for the prestigious Sam Bennett Invitational Meet hosted Friday by Robinson High School.
The Lady Maroons won with 135 points in the team standings. They were followed by Shelbyville with 108, Newton with 100, and Teutopolis with 81.
The Red Hill Lady Salukis finished 10th with 12 points. Caitlee Gray finished third in the triple jump competition.
The Lawrenceville Lady Indians finished tied for 12th with Altamont in the 12-team field. Each team scored 7 points. Ava Cessna finished 4th in the shot put.
Both teams are back in action Monday in a dual meet scheduled at Red Hill Jr/Sr High School in Bridgeport.
