It was Senior Day Wednesday for both the Lawrenceville boys and girls track and field teams at Ed Loeb Field in Lawrenceville and both picked up wins.
The Lady Indians scored 85 points to beat Vincennes Rivet with 61 and the Red Hill Lady Salukis with 41 points. Lexi Brooke was a double winner for the victors with wins in both the 1600 and 3200 meters. Ava Cessna won the shot put in a new school record of 37' 5.5", Haven Sanders won the high jump and Makenna Hill the long jump. Caitlee Gray won both the 200 meters and the triple jump for Red Hill.
The Indian boys scored 87 points to pick up the meet win, followed by the Salukis with 55 and Rivet with 33. Stephen Killion led the way with wins in the shot put and discus while Clayton Roney won both the 100 and 200 meters for Red Hill. Blayton Gossett won the high jump, Braydan Morrison the 400 meters, and Aidan Crawford the 800 meters for the Tribe. Red Hill also picked up wins by Walter Eberwein in the 1600 meters and Holden Jacobsen in the triple jump.
The Indians and Salukis will be in the field for the Newton Boys Invitational Friday while the Lady Salukis compete in the multi-team Fairfield Invitational Wednesday.
