Flora wins Red Hill Senior Day track meets

The Flora track teams were winners of both the boys and girls Senior Day track and field meet Monday at Red Hill Jr/Sr. High School in Bridgeport.

The Lady Wolfgals scored 143 points to easily win the girls competition, the host Red Hill Lady Salukis were second in the team standings with 104.5 points, the Lawrenceville Lady Indians were third with 95, Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville (OPH) was fourth with 50, Cisne fifth with 39.5, and Patoka sixth with 3. 

Lexi Brooke of the Lady Indians was a double winner on the day in the 1600-and-3200-meter runs, and Izabelle Eagleson of the Lady Salukis captured both the 100-and-300-meter hurdles. Brenda Pantojas of Lawrenceville won the shot put, and Caitlee Gray of Red Hill won the 200 meters.

The Wolves won the boys meet with 192 points followed by OPH with 139. The Indians were third with 57 points with the Salukis fourth with 51. Cisne was fifth with 32, and Patoka sixth with 12. 

Clayton Roney of the Salukis was first in the 200 meters, Walter Eberwine of the Salukis won the 800 meters, and Aiden Crawford of the Indians won the 1600 meter run.

The Red Hill girls will compete in the Carmi-White County Invitational Wednesday while both the Indian and Saluki boys compete in the boys Sam Bennett Invitational Friday at Robinson.
