Preparations are underway for the general primary election to be held on March 17th, 2026, in Lawrence County.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. CT at the regular polling places. All 17 precincts will conduct an election, and every registered voter will have the opportunity to cast a vote.
In order to vote, a person must be properly registered. Voter registration is currently underway and the last day to register or change your address as part of the process is Tuesday, February 17th.
The hours to register at the Lawrence County Clerk's Office are from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. CT Mondays through Fridays. If a person cannot come to the office located in the Lawrence County Courthouse at 1100 State Street in downtown Lawrenceville during those hours or has any registration questions, call (618) 943-2346, Ext 4 to make other arrangements
