A Plymouth man was arrested on Monday after city officers responded to a report of domestic battery.
At about 5:15 Monday afternoon, January 20, Plymouth officers responded to 212 West Adams Street for the report.
Officers spoke with both parties separately and received stories from both sides involved. It was determined that the female party was battered by Quanah Thomas Rhodes, 48, who lives at the Adams Street address.
Rhodes was lodged in the Marshall County Jail and charged with Domestic Battery. He is being held on a $500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
