PLYMOUTH- David A. Doll, 78, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 29, 1948, in Argos, Indiana, to Peter and Wilma (Billhimer) Doll. David graduated from Plymouth High School with the Class of 1966.
David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Morse intercept operator from 1967 to 1971. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.
On October 2, 2004, David married Carmen in Bremen at the home of dear friends. Carmen survives.
David worked as a supervisor for McCord’s Indiana Heat Transfer before retiring in 2010. He was a kind and very active man who lived his life with a deep passion for fishing. A professional fisherman, David won a variety of fishing tournaments and was a proud member of Macro Bass Masters.
In addition to fishing, David enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially the races of his favorite driver, #24 Jeff Gordon. He was also a devoted fan of Notre Dame women’s basketball and rarely missed a game.
David is survived by his wife, Carmen of Plymouth; his children, Blake Doll of Plymouth, Kerry Doll of Walkerton, Yasmeen (Eric) Deleon of Plymouth, and Andrea Bermudez of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Zephen Feliciano and Dane Johnson; and his siblings, April Sheller of Plymouth and Mike (Kathy) Doll of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Wilma Doll, and his brother, Jim (Ruth) Doll.
Graveside military honors will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth with the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and the Plymouth Am. Legion Post #27.
