Ed and Linda Langfeldt were granted a variance to reduce the minimum lot size from half an acre to one-third of an acre, allowing them to split off a building located at 1980 West Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
The Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals heard the request to split the front building off of the rectangular lot.
During the BAZ meeting, Ed Langfeldt told board members he wanted to get all the storage buildings on the same parcel, so he wanted to divide off the front building with an access easement. At the rear of the property, and on the west side, are the other storage buildings.
Adley said separating off the front building creates a lot smaller than the city code allows.
Property owners within 300 feet were notified of the variance request. When the public hearing was open, there were no comments.
The Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously approved the request that came with a staff recommendation to allow the split as presented.
